Offered for sale is a large original work of art by Canadian artist Cerj Lalonde from the series "The New Freedom in Red". The piece was acquired directly from the artist in 2008 and includes it's original certificated of authenticity with an appraised value at the time of $10,000. It is part of the works which he created in the spirit of Calligraphy.
Cerj Lalonde was born in 1954 in Canada and presently resides in Miami. He works in numerous mediums including painting, sculpture, photography and multimedia installations. He first obtained a Bachelor of Art History from the University of New York before continuing his studies at the International Center of Photography. His works are between an artistic and technological experimentation. He tries to incorporate a dialogue, an innovative way of communication between the public, the artist and the exhibition. He adopts a language that is between lyrical and geometric abstraction.
