In this listing you will find a painting of a cityscape in the Expressionist or Modernist style, painted by a Yugoslav artist Branislava Modelska-Jovanović. The painting is titled "A night view from Kalemegdan". Kalemegdan is the central park in Belgrade with a line of old houses across the street from ir. The artwork features bold, textured brushstrokes (impasto) and a dark, moody sky, contrasting with the warm, somewhat distorted, and brightly colored building facades. This technique is a hallmark of Expressionism. Done in Serbia in the 1963.
Painting is in a good condition and it is framed. Dimensions of the painting without the frame are 59x44cm.
