Oil painting on cardboard by Etienne Yver. A multi-faceted artist, Étienne YVER has gradually built up a singular work placed under the light of an expressiveness sometimes tinged with humor.
Étienne Yver is primarily a painter, but also a draftsman, sculptor and scenographer. Often based on literature, music or history, the work of Étienne Yver explores the representations that human beings give of their bodies in the relationships they maintain with the world around them, the Other. , nature and the animals he sees or imagines alongside him.
Étienne lives and works in Paris, exhibiting since 1980 both in France and abroad (galleries, FRAC, museums, French Institutes or foundations). Many of his works are in private and public collections.
