About the Item
This well executed original oil painting on wood panel was done by Christian Sell the Younger in circa 1880 in his realistic style. The painting portrays soldiers standing and on horseback on the battlefield in winter. The painting is signed in the lower right corner "Chr Sell" and comes in its original hand carved wooden frame with a gilt finish. There is also a gallery sticker on the back. The actual painting without the frame measures 8 by 10 inches and with the frame, measures approximately 16.5 x 14. Please note that we have a two original paintings by Christian Sell currently available.
