About the Item

Original acrylic on board Navajo native American painting entitled "Indian Women" by listed Arizona artist Maurice Potier, circa late 1960s. This fascinating painting is in very good condition and measures 22.25" x 27.5" overall; the painting itself is 14.25" x 19.25". It is presented in a brown metal frame with a bright orange linen mat and signed by the artist in the lower right. #4400 This visually striking vintage MCM piece depicts two identical figures, in traditional indigenous garments, and tall and stylized stovepipe hats. Their faces are blank, and a minimalist approach is taken to their artistic portrait. It retains an original sticker from Robert Sills Gallery, Inc. in North Hollywood, CA with Registration Number: 74-13603 on the reverse side. Truly a very colorful and interesting piece!
