Painter School of Barbizon 19th Century Rural Scene with Peasant Girl and Goats Evocative French rural scene in evening light showing a young girl and her dog sitting at an old shed amongst her goat herd. The painting is painted in oil on canvas by an unknown French artist of the 19th century showing the plein-air-style typical for the French School of Barbizon. The painting is framed with a beautiful finely carved and hand painted Impressionism frame which gives the scene even more depth. Size of the canvas: 44 cm (17.32 in.) x 36 cm (14.17 in.).
