Decorate an office or den with this large pair of Parisian paintings. Crafted in Paris and signed by French artist, A. Lamague, each artwork depict an atmospheric scene of Paris, executed in an impressionistic style with a rich impasto technique. The first painting showcases the Pont Alexandre III, one of Paris's most famous bridges, known for its ornate lampposts and golden statues. The composition captures a rainy day with reflections on the pavement, elegant figures in motion, and an overcast sky, giving the piece a nostalgic and romantic mood. The second painting presents a quintessential Montmartre stairway scene, leading downward toward a misty, golden-lit cityscape. The perspective draws the viewer into the scene, with intricate iron railings, historic Parisian buildings, and delicate autumn foliage framing the view. The warm, muted palette suggests either early morning or late afternoon light, adding to its poetic feel. Both works are framed in weathered wood, complementing their vintage character. One painting is slightly larger than the other. The Pont Alexandre III is a deck arch bridge that spans the Seine in Paris. It connects the Champs-Élysées quarter with those of the Invalides and Eiffel Tower. The bridge is widely regarded as the most ornate, extravagant bridge in the city. It has been classified as a French monument historique since 1975. Montmartre is a large hill in Paris's northern 18th arrondissement. It is 130 m (430 ft) high and gives its name to the surrounding district, part of the Right Bank. Montmartre is primarily known for its artistic history, for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur on its summit, and as a nightclub district. Rue Muller is special for its charming, bohemian atmosphere, cobblestone streets, and proximity to attractions like the Moulin Rouge and the Bateau Lavoir, a former artists' colony. 41.5"W x 30"H

Decorate a study wall or office with this elegant pair of colorful antique paintings! Hand painted on stretched canvas in France circa 1940, each large artwork depicts a popular Parisian landmark in the impressionist style, "la Cathedrale Notre Dame" and "Le Marche aux Fleurs et la Conciergerie". Both street paintings are in excellent condition with soft pastels colors, and are signed in the lower right corner by American artist, Caroline Burnett. Caroline Barnett (1877-1950) was an American-born artist who studied in Paris towards the earlier part of her career; she was known for her Impressionist street scenes of Paris. Her painting style reflected the contemporary movement that was occurring in France during her time there. Caroline Burnett paintings also display hints of abstract influence, especially her figural paintings. She was a member of the Societe de Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she exhibited her works in 1898.
