About the Item
Decorate an office or study with this elegant pair of antique paintings. Crafted in France circa 1870, the artworks hand painted on board, are set inside the original beautiful carved gilt wood frames. Each colorful picture depicts a pastoral scene in the countryside with a couple talking to each other; a small dog and horse are also part of the composition. Each work of art is signed by the artist but the signature is unreadable. Both paintings are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and are set in wonderful frames with the original gold leaf finish.
