Pair of similar European oil on board floral still life paintings. Depicted in old-world artistic tradition, they feature vibrant bouquets against a dark background in impasto style, set in ornate, carved giltwood frames. This technique gives the works a textured surface using precise brush/knife strokes to create dimension while enhancing the play of light and shadow. The paintings are the same size with slightly different frame size complementing one another beautifully. A stunning, intensely rich pair perfect to enliven a small wall, bookcase verticals or as part of a collective vignette.
