About the Item

A superb pair of Italian 18th century Oil on Canvas paintings in their original giltwood frames. The painting on the left depicts large impressive battle ships in the back ground and beautiful Italian architecture in the foreground with figures dressed in period attire working and admiring the vessels at sea. The painting on the right shows a stunning seaside building with steps decorated with charming potted plants leading up to the terrace with fine arches and columns. In the sea are more ships and smaller row boat at the dock while the waves roll in to the bay in the background. Wonderful rich hues throughout.
