Pair of Mid-19th Century Oil on Canvas Paintings by Charles Cooper Henderson: "The Devonport, Coach" and "The Louth Coach"
The Devonport, Coach painting depicts the daytime travel of several passengers and their carriage horses. The Louth Coach painting shows the travels of others during the evening. These painting were exhibited at the Royal Academy in the 1840s. Both are framed in ornate gold gilt frames.
Charles Cooper Henderson (British, 1803-1877) was a known for his paintings of coaches and horses.
