About the Item

Late 19th century portrait in pastels of a well-to-do young man. A work from the French school, signed “M Stainville”, and dated 1889 on the bottom right corner, portraying the bust of a well- dressed young gentlemen in a black jacket, and stiffly collared white shirt. The frame is wood and gilded stucco, with mouldings of laurel leaves. Please note that in some of these photos there are reflections from the frame's glass.
