Louise Eleonore’s regency was notable not just for her role as a mother and protector of her son’s interests, but also for her active involvement in managing the duchy’s affairs. Her leadership during her son's minority earned her respect and allowed her to shape the political and cultural development of Saxe-Meiningen.
