About the Item
Rectangular oil on panel representing fishermen on the beach. Behind them, a clear sea in which reflects cloudy sky giving a sweet pinky and pearly light.
Work with a vivid touch on the peach and the fishermen.
On the back of the panel, “Pescatori” inscription (i.e. it. Word for fishermen). Red signature in front bottom left “F. Morello” for Federico Morello( 1885-1945), an Italian painter specialized in beaches scenes, showing fishermen and ramblers. He worked a lot with a rectangular flattened touch, wore particularly on characters and foreground, and on soft and warm colors on cloudy skies.
Black lacquered and molded frame with gilt highlights.
