Portrait of Doña Narcisa Barañana de Goicoechea, MET Authorized Copy, oil, 1937 Magnificent copy authorized by the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) of Francisco de Goya's original portrait, "Doña Narcisa Barañana de Goicoechea" (ca. 1810). The work was executed in oil on canvas (101 × 79 cm) under official license from the museum, as indicated by the stamp visible on the back, dated July 27, 1937. The portrait faithfully reproduces Goya's original composition, highlighting the serene expression of the face and the subtle black tones of the dress and mantilla. In excellent condition, mounted in a period gilt frame. This work of notable historical and decorative interest, ideal for collectors of Goya-esque art or for museum reproductions.
