About the Item
In this listing you will find a large portrait of Josip Broz Tito, the Yugoslav president. Painting is done in oil on canvas by a well known Yugoslav artist Slobodan Garic. Tito is wearing his blue Marshal uniform, decorated with honors gained during the fight against the Nazis in the Second World War. Painting was done in Belgrade, the capital of Yugoslavia, now Serbia, in the 1970 and it was exhibited at the largest art exhibition of former Yugoslavia, The October Salon.
Painting is good condition and it is framed, even though it would benefit from a better frame.
