This charming early 20th century painting is the work of Belgian artist A. Gevels and dates to around 1910. The scene shows four playful putti moving through an idyllic garden and water landscape. Their soft expressions, delicate skin tones and the transparent drapery floating around them reflect the refined academic style practiced in Belgium during the Belle Époque period.
