The composition evokes a sacred buffalo hide, its irregular parchment-like form suspended within a red and black field symbolizing earth and spirit. Across the surface, White Horse layers imagery of teepees, warriors, buffalo silhouettes, and handprints, interwoven with abstract glyphs and splattered pigment suggestive of ritual energy. A central horizontal band—reminiscent of a medicine wheel or decorated pipe stem—anchors the composition, uniting physical and spiritual realms. Genuine leather rawhide lacing descends from the canvas, reinforcing its ceremonial quality and direct reference to traditional hide painting.
