About the Item
A beautiful and skillfully painted seascape with sailboats by listed British 20th century artist Oliver Trowell, dated 1969. The maritime scene is stunning, both in composition and color palette... in shades of sea green, blue, gray in the water and clouds. Note the sailboats listing in the waves painted in shades of cream and brown. Abstracted multicolor figures can be seen on the boats. The canvas is framed in a brown mid-century frame.
The surface of the painting is in good condition with only one notable imperfection and that is a 1/16" diameter puncture in the edge of the canvas in the upper left, see photos. Random minor imperfections in the wood of the frame.
