Early nautical painting by artist James Hiroshi Suzuki (b. 1933)
Painted in the early 1950’s this piece depicts the seashore with driftwood and urchins with organic modern forms most likely from his time in Maine or Washington D.C.
Suzuki’s works can be found in many museums and private collections around the world.
Signed lower right and on reverse.
Piece is displayed in its original artist wood frame with wear. Painting presents beautifully with minimal loss as shown in photos (top left). Will need hanging hardware.
