Oil paint on stretched canvas painting entitled "Spring Plowing" Martha's Vineyard by Jean Spencer. Circa 1960-70. Signed lower left, Jean Spencer. Titled on reverse, "Spring Plowing", Martha's Vineyard. Depicted is a fence line that divides the freshly plowed field and the lush adjoining overgrown field. The background reveals a few buildings on the horizon and wildflowers in the lower left foreground. Tacked edge and stretched canvas. Good overall condition with minor cosmetic wear. No rips, tears, punctures or visible restorations to the work. The frame shows signs of wear from age.
The canvas measures 24" wide x 14" high. Framed in a white painted wood profile molding.
