About the Item
A wonderful painting by the noted New York artist, cartoonist and illustrator Stephen Ronay. It is signed lower right and dated 47. It is titled on the back “Psychopathic Ballet.” It is in a period frame which suits it beautifully.
The painting has quite a bit of cracquelure. There are two old repairs to the back of the canvas that I see and corresponding inpainting on the front.
The frame has losses particularly on the corners.
