Still Life with Violets Oil on Panel in Ornate Gilt Frame, 1880s.
This is a wonderful oil painting of a bunch of violet flowers, beautifully arranged against a dark background. Beautiful bold yet delicate paint strokes. A very refined work which is expressionist at heart. The earthy colors or the violets make a nice contrast with the dark and gloomy background. Framed in a period correct gilt wooden ornate frame. It is signed, but illegible.
The oil painting is in a wonderful condition.
