A precious glimpse into a Wedding Celebration, this fine antique work of art has an almost lyrical quality to it, an incredibly busy and complex scene that harmoniously is brought together under brilliant hues of towering architecture. A bridegroom leads his bride before the onlooking guests, both clearly focused on the other while each member of the crowd seems to have a varying point of focus: an elderly blind man, led by his steward appears to be blessing the couple, much of the crowd looking to heaven in reverence. The detailed background reveals a large landscape overlooking the countryside and architecture of the cities before a backdrop of towering mountains under a bright blue sky.
