The El Greco Museum, located in the city of Toledo (Spain), contains works by the Mannerist painter Doménikos Theotokópoulos, born in Crete but who produced most of his work in the Toledo city. The institution was inaugurated in 1911 as a house-museum to collect works by the Cretan artist, who was beginning to be revalued, and to reflect how he lived.
