About the Item
This very beautiful oil on canvas is a reworking of the left part of the painting The Three Ages of Man" by the Italian Renaissance master of the Venetian school, Tiziano Vecellio, known as Le Titien.
This copy made by an excellent hand is extremely faithful to the original and of very high quality. It takes up the left part of the painting where a young couple seems to be about to kiss.
Our work measures 35.43/35.43 inches and the original is 35.43/59.05, so our painting is the exact size of the original for the part represented.
The canvas is presented in a pretty period frame gilded with gold leaf.
The original of the painting has been kept at the National Gallery of Scotland since 1798, when it was purchased from the house of Orleans by the Duke of Bridgewater, Francis Egerton, but several copies are known, one of is part of the collection. of the Doria-Pamphilj Gallery in Rome.
