The “Cows Watering by the River at Sunset” 4 feet height x 7 feet
4” width. This beautiful Tableau is made by Ch. Boulogne. His art is rarely seen on the market. Most of his work sits in the Old family homes and collectors. He is considered an old Master and he is listed amongst them in the very important Benezit Book of the Old Masters. Landscape painter Ch.Boulogne, who was born in Tournai “(Belgium) but it was a French community of tournai doornik, on the border with France”
From Claudius Jacquand and M.Auguste Rougevin, ancient architect of the hotel des Invalides, knight of the legion of Honor, Founder of the Rougevin Prize at school the fine Arts “l’ecole des beaux arts”. Died in April 1878 (Ec.Bel.) Rougevin Auguste, architecte de l'hôtel des Invalides, 1794-1878 . Rougevin Joseph Auguste, fondateur du prix Rougevin à l'école des beaux-arts, 1831-1856
His grandfather Jean Rougevin 1753-1808 Purchased the chateau “ Elysée palace ” and sold it to Marechal prince Murat in 1805.
