Regency Period Painted Sideboard - attributed to George Seddon & Sons, figured mahogany top surmounted with original gilt brass gallery adorned with cast acorns
English circa 1795 - 1805
The highly figured mahogany top is surmounted with the original gilt brass gallery adorned to the upright columns are crisply cast acorns. The top section's decorated edge has an inverted centre section above a single long drawer, flanked by two short deep drawers.
The right hand drawer is fitted with wooden divisions and the left hand drawer is lead lined with all the locks having been replaced and the original wooden knobs having been removed at some point to accommodate the existing gilt brass ring-pulled handles.
The 'Rare' is the original paintwork that decorates the front of the sideboard to simulate 18th century Sheraton...
