About the Item
In this listing you will find an extra large abstract oil painting, in dark tones. The painting is not signed, hence it is being sold as by an unknown artist. The painting ks heavily influenced by the work of Vladimir Velickovic, featuring some of their prominent motifs. Painting was featured in a horror movie "The Serbian Film", shot in 2010. Painting has been examined by an expert in Yugoslav and Serbian art in Belgrade who believes the painting has been painted in Velickovic's studio in Paris by his students. Vladimir Velickovic and Francis Bacon were friends in Paris, along side Lucian Freud, who spent a lot of time together, hence the influences of each of the artist could be found in works of the others.
In addition to this painting, there are 4 more available, with different motifs, which will be added soon to inventory of this shop.
Painting is in a good condition and it is framed. It shows signs of past repairs on the back.
