About the Item
Framed archival Giclée print on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta paper by Austrian photographer Clemens Kois. Framed dimensions: 46.5” x 33” x 1.5”. Unframed dimensions: 44” x 30.5”.
This piece was featured in Kois's 2012 solo exhibition at Mondo Cane / Patrick Parrish Gallery, “Clemens Kois: Over the Top”, which showcased photographs of his playful stacks of everyday objects found in his home and studio. Taking off where Fischli and Weiss left off, Kois playfully explores the striking and humorous juxtapositions that occur when objects leave their place and create a strange new reality.
CLEMENS KOIS is an Austrian photographer currently based in New York. An avid collector of Carl Auböck's work and a frequent flyer at flea markets, Kois has honed his eye for bringing out the inherent beauty of often overlooked, seemingly mundane objects, as is shown in his photography and sculpture.

Screw Paintings
Begun around 2014 they were originally throwaway byproducts from my paintings where I masked out areas for spray painting. Although I am too close to them to be able to see, some have told me that they look like aerial photographs of landscapes; a moonscape or perhaps the stargate sequence from Stanley Kubirck’s 2001. They are collaged...
