About the Item

Two original gelatin silver prints by Swedish photographer Hasse Persson, created in 1973 during the “New York Artists for Stockholm” event. These rare documentary works capture leading figures of the era, including Red Grooms, reflecting Persson’s close connection to the downtown New York art scene. Each print bears the artist’s stamp to verso, confirming authenticity. The works measure 7.625” × 10” and 7.25” × 10” respectively. Both are in good condition, showing only faint handling marks along the edges, with one print displaying a single light crescent crease within the image field. Despite minor wear, they present strongly. Persson’s photographs are widely exhibited and collected, recognized for documenting American culture, politics, and the New York art world.
