Original German film poster for the 1976 film Im Lauf der Zeit / Kings of the Road.
This German film was directed by Wim Wenders, and is the final part of his road movie trilogy, which includes Alice in the Cities (1974) and The Wrong Move (1975). The film tells the story of Bruno Winter (Rüdiger Vogler), a film projection mechanic, who is constantly on the road, and Robert Lander (Hanns Zischler), who has recently broken up with his wife and is feeling depressed. Robert drives his car into the Elbe river, and Bruno kindly offers him a lift. There starts their unusual relationship, as they drive through the German countryside.
This poster was from The Sohal collection. Mr. Sohal met Wim Wenders at a book signing at The Photographers' Gallery in London where he had the poster signed by him.
This poster is conservation linen backed and would be shipped rolled in a strong tube and sent by Federal Express.
