3 signed promotional photograph of opera singers LILY PONS, LAURITZ MELCHIOR, DUSOLINA GIANNINI 1930's, approx. 7.5 x 9 in. (19 x 23 cm.) Charming photograph of Alice Joséphine PONS (April 12, 1898 – February 13, 1976), known professionally as Lily Pons, was a French-American operatic lyric coloratura soprano. Pons enjoyed a long association with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, where she performed nearly 300 times between 1931 and 1960. Early and rare photograph Lauritz MELCHIOR Born Lauritz Lebrecht Hommel Melchior ( 20 March 1890 – 18 March 1973) in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a Danish-American opera singer. He was the preeminent Wagnerian heldentenor of the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s and has come to be considered the quintessence of his voice type. Dusolina Giannini (December 19, 1899 – June 29, 1986) was an Italian-American dramatic soprano, particularly associated with the Italian repertory. She sang at the Metropolitan Opera from 1935 to 1942. All in excellent condition. Framed, 14 x 27 in.,(35.5 x 68.5 cm.)

Kellogg & Comstock SHEPHERDESS OF THE ALPS original Kellogg & Comstock hand-colored lithograph, Published by D. Needham (American, 1808 - 1888). Circa. 1848-1850. image: 12 in x 8 1/2 in; 30.48 cm x 21.59 cm. overall: 15 in x 11 in; 38 cm x 28 cm. Strong and clear impression, overall very good condition, paper has a light oxidation and restored small tear middle left side Framed, no glazing This hand colored print is of a young girl and two goats standing near a stream in a forested area. The girl is wearing a knee-length dress with short puffed sleeves and long stockings. She is feeding a goat with flowers and grass from her apron. The original "Shepherdess of the Alps" appears to have been a play by Marmontel, which enjoyed great popularity in France, England, and America in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
