About the Item

This original photograph by Bernard Darot is mounted on cardstock and signed in the lower right corner. It depicts the Quai des Grands-Augustins, a historic quay along the left bank of the Seine in Paris’s 6th arrondissement, between Pont Saint-Michel and Pont Neuf. Visible wear to the edges and corners, with a bent upper right corner. A brown stain is present near the center of the photograph. Please refer closely to the photos for all condition details. Zoom in for a precise view. Bernard Darot was born in Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine) on October 31, 1934. A student of Louis Arretche, he was admitted to the second class on July 10, 1957, received a project commendation and the Prix des Anciens in October 1958, entered the first class on December 13, 1960, earned the Second Medal in the Bourgeois and Godeboeuf Competition on December 5, 1961, and graduated on June 16, 1965.
