Photographer Suzanne Poli is internationaly renowned for her historic Gay Pride and LGBT images in New York city .The Gay Pride Rainbow Flag,created by Gilbert Baker in 1978 in San Francisco, is now recognized world wide and is traditionally carried through the West Village on the last Sunday in June in celebration of Gay Pride month.This image from an addition of 25 was taken from Suzanne's fourth floor apartment on Christopher Street, coins were tossed onto the flag from hundreds of on lookers standing on their fire escape, common practice in the 90s.
Gilbert presented President Barack Obama in the White House with one of his flags,,the Rainbow flag is the most recognized community flag in the world.
