About the Item
Large 20th century artwork lithograph poster artwork created by Ernst Busch for Ovignac Senglet Cognac. The poster "Curacao Singlet" features a woman seated at a bar smoking with a text in German reading "The best of them all". Swiss origin commercial art in art deco style rendered in soft intentionally aged sepia monotone colors with a cosmopolitan flair. The sight measures 35.5 inches wide and 50.5 inches high mounted in an ebonized black frame with plexiglass. Very good condition with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Bears stylistic resemblance to work of 20th-century artist Leonetto Cappiello the Italian French art designer and painter.
