About the Item
Original vintage travel poster by Edouard Collin circa 1950, Allez En Corse Corse Corsica Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. Printed by Editions Transatlantiques.
Collin's expertly catches the rugged beautifulness of French Mediterranean Sea island Corsica, as we peak through a cove opening and see the sun soaked port.
Edouard Collin (1906-1983) began his artistic career at the renowned Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris. He was the artistic director for CGT from 1950 -1959, and created many wonderful posters for the company. He also designed the ships' menus, schedules, and many other design elements.
A lovely poster in superb linen-backed condition.
This original vintage movie poster has been professionally linen-backed is sized 15 3/4 x 25 1/2 inches (plus a little more with the linen). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
