About the Item
Original US film poster for the 1968 cult classic science fiction film directed by Roger Vadim, and was based on the comic series of the same name by Jean-Claude Forest. Vadim tried to cast various actors in the title role, including Virna Lisi, Brigitte Bardo and Sophia Loren, before casting his then-wife Jane Fonda as the space-traveler Barbarella. This very cool poster designed by Boris Vallejo (b.1941) and used only for the films 1977 re-release where the studio also renamed the film from Barbarella to Barbarella Queen of the Galaxy.
This poster is conservation linen backed.
