About the Item

Original US studio Issued photographic art transparency for the landmark, 1939 film starring Clark Gable, and Vivien Leigh and directed by Victor Fleming. This transparency was created for the films re-release in 1968. The art work is by Howard Terpning (b. 1927) This transparency was designed to be of a very high quality, as it was sent to high-end magazines and newspapers that required a colour image, as opposed to the regular black and white production stills. A tiny quantity of these were produced compared to the black and white production stills. This transparency is conservation framed in a bespoke LED light box with UV plexiglass., there are adaptors plugs and cables for the light box. The size given is before framing, the framed size is 12 1/2 x 14 1/2 in. (31.7 x 36.8 cm) This piece would be shipped boxed and sent by Federal Express.
