About the Item
Original French painting for the 1964 animation this artwork was used to create the French poster for this film. This film was directed by Joseph Barbera and William Hanna, who also wrote the screenplay along with Warren Foster. Yogi Bear is up to his usual tricks of trying to steal food from people's picnic hampers whilst visiting Jellystone Park.
This painting is Gouache on art board and in excellent condition, with the colors remaining very bright. Original artworks rarely surface, as the majority were destroyed. This artwork was previously part of a private French collection of poster artworks. This piece is conservation framed with UV plexiglass in a Tulip wood frame. The size given is before framing and the framed size is 26 1/2 x 20 1/2 in. (67.3 x 52 cm).
