We adore the beautiful design by Giorgio Olivetti that features on this original Italian poster for the classic, particularly impressive on the scale of the 4 Foglio poster measuring a whopping 55 x 77 inches!
A very rare, highly collectable poster, especially in such good condition.
La Dolce Vita the renowned Italian film directed by Federico Fellini chronicles the journey of Marcello Rubini, a disillusioned journalist who navigates Rome's glamorous high society in a restless search for love, purpose, and identity. Spanning seven days and nights, Marcello encounters a series of eccentric characters—celebrities, aristocrats, and intellectuals—yet remains spiritually adrift. Mixing realism with rich symbolism, the film offers a sharp critique of modern fame and the hollow allure of "the sweet life" of luxury and indulgence. Celebrated for its striking imagery and layered narrative, it remains a milestone in international cinema.
Federico Fellini (1920-1993) celebrated Italian film director and screenwriter, known for his unique style that blended fantasy, memory, and surrealism with deeply personal themes. Rising to prominence in the 1950s, he gained international acclaim with films like La Strada, La Dolce Vita, and 8½. Fellini’s work often explored human emotion, identity, and the absurdity of modern life, earning him multiple Academy Awards and a lasting legacy as one of cinema’s greatest auteurs.
This original vintage movie poster was originally folded and printed in two sections (as issued) but has been professionally linen-backed and is sized an impressive 55 1/2 x 77 1/2 inches (plus a little with the linen-backing). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
