About the Item
This is a lithograph print of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's famous 1896 poster, "La Troupe de Mademoiselle Églantine". The original poster was created to advertise the cancan dance troupe led by the performer known as Mademoiselle Églantine.
t was part of a summer exhibition in 1973 at Solomon
Co. fine art in New York City. The original artwork captures the essence of Parisian nightlife and entertainment in the late 19th century. The poster depicts the four dancers: Églantine, Jane Avril, Cléopâtre, and Gazelle. Warren's Olde Style watermark. A good clean image. Some cosmetic wear and minor creasing. Small pin holes in all four corners and a few minor tears in the upper left corner.
The overall image measures approximately 32" wide x 24.5" high.
