Original Belgian film poster for the 1932 drama, romance.
This is an exceptionally rare piece that has only surfaced a few times.
The artwork is unique to the films first release in Belgium in 1933
This film was directed by Marion Gering, and was based on David Belasco's play and the short story by John Luther Long. The cast includes Cary Grant, Sylvia Sidney and Charles Ruggles. This is one of Cary Grant's early films. He plays Lieutenant Pinkerton, who whilst on shore-leave in Japan marries a geisha-in-training, Cho-Cho San. Shortly after he abandons her and leaves for America. Cho-Cho waits patiently for the return of her husband, keeping the secret from him of their son. When Lieutenant Pinkerton finally returns to Japan, with his American wife, all ends very tragically for Cho-Cho.
