This is a play on the myth of King Midas, who was granted the power to turn everything he touched into gold. In the film, the man's "Midas touch" results in a series of comedic romantic entanglements.
The film is directed by Claude Berri, and stars Berri himself, Régine, Elisabeth Wiener, and Grégoire Aslan. It is a lighthearted story about a man who seems to have an uncanny ability to get people to marry each other. The movie was released by Allied Artists."
