Original antique World War One poster encouraging men to enlist in the army: Come Now – Your arms, uniform and accoutrements are ready waiting for you [Lord Kitchener speaking at Guildhall on 9 July 1915] – Be honest with yourself. Great design featuring a soldier's brand new uniform with a coat, hat, bag, shoes and gun hanging on the wall, waiting for its new owner with the text down the left and below in stylised red and black letters, the quote by Kitchener in the centre. Field Marshal Horatio Herbert Kitchener 1st Earl Kitchener (1850-1916) was a decorated British Army Officer who served in the Army from 1871 and as Secretary of State for War from 1914 until his death in 1916 when his ship, HMS Hampshire, struck a German mine; in 1915 he spoke at the Guildhall appealing for more recruits to enlist.
