Original antique cruise travel advertising poster for P&O Branch Service to Australia via Malta Suez and Colombo One Class Only Economy Speed Comfort featuring a great design by Stanley Charles Rowles (b.1887) depicting the Peninsular
Oriental Steam Navigation Company's steam ship Bendigo sailing at sea surrounded by seagulls with a smaller ship in the distance, the bold title text with two anchor images against the sky above and a blank information box below with the P&O Head office address 130 Leadenhall Street London EC3. Launched in 1922 the single funnel passenger liner Bendigo served the P&O's UK - Australia route until being sold and broken up in 1936. Printed by De La Rue, London. Acceptable condition, restored folds, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.
