About the Item
Original antique travel poster for the Bagnoles de l'Orne Station Thermale Suisse Normande / Swiss Normandy thermal spa resort featuring artwork by the French painter Charles Lucien Leandre (1862-1934) depicting a lady holding a horse walking by the lake under a large tree with the chateau in the background. Located in the national park the spa village of Bagnoles de l'Orne dates back to the Middle Ages; the first hydrotherapy baths were built in the 17th century. Surrounded by woods, Chateau Goupil was built in 1855 in a neo-Renaissance architecture style (now the Château de la Roche Bagnoles town hall). Printed by H Chachoin, Paris. Good condition, tears, creasing, small paper losses, minor staining.
