Original antique World War One poster - They Fight For You Protect Them Help the Red Cross raise $100,000,000 at once - featuring an image of a wounded soldier in uniform with a bandage around his head stretching his hand out towards the viewer in front of a dynamic Statue of Liberty holding her torch in one hand and the Red Cross shield in her other hand, with the destruction of war and more soldiers visible in the distance and the bold title text below. The American Red Cross ARC was formed in 1881 as non-profit humanitarian organisation founded by the American Civil War nurse Clara Barton (Clarissa Harlowe Barton; 1821-1912); during WWI the ARC supported Allied civilian relief efforts overseas, raising $400 million and providing aid such as food, housing, and medical assistance. Good condition, repaired tears, staining, minor creasing, printing errors, backed on linen.
