French Mid-20th Century Art Poster Tribute to Jean Lurcat
By Jean Lurçat
Located in Miami, FL
Large French mid-century poster paying tribute to Jean Lurçat. This stylish decorative art poster honors one of the most important French artists of contemporary paintings, ceramics and tapestry designs of the 20th Century. As illustrated in the beautiful vintage French art poster, Jean Lurçat created unique and interesting works of art. This gorgeous French Mid-20th Century Poster would enhance any setting: contemporary, modern or mid-century. It would also look wonderful on the wall in a beach house or home office. Measures: 26 3/4" Wide x 35 3/4" High x 1" Deep About the Artist: Jean Lurçat was a French painter, ceramist and tapestry designer, born in Bruyères on July 1, 1892 and died in Saint-Paul-de-Vence on January 6, 1966. He owes his fame mainly to his tapestry work, which he thoroughly executed in the twentieth century. He is frequently called the most instrumental figure in reviving the art of designing and weaving tapestries in the 20th century. Although his first tapestries were executed and exhibited in 1917, it was not until 1936 that Lurçat turned from being primarily a painter to designing tapestries. In 1939 he and the painters Toussaint Dubreuil and Marcel Gromaire went to Aubusson, a French town historically associated with tapestry weaving since at least the 16th century, and established a centre for the making of modern tapestries in cooperation with the master weaver François Tabard. Among the most notable of the more than 1,000 tapestries Lurçat...

1982 vintage poster by Razzia for the Paris Posters exhibition
By Razzia (Gérard Courbouleix–Dénériaz)
Located in PARIS, FR
This striking 1982 vintage poster, designed by Razzia, was created to promote the Paris Posters exhibition at the Musée de l’Affiche et de la Publicité during the summer (Été 82). Featuring a bold and graphic collage-style composition, the artwork embodies the dynamic energy of 1980s design. Razzia, a renowned French graphic artist, is celebrated for his iconic Art Deco-inspired poster designs with a modern twist. In this piece, he juxtaposes a stylized black-and-white Eiffel Tower, a monochrome portrait of a woman, and an accordion transformed into the Arc de Triomphe, all set against a dramatic black background with vivid color accents. The use of cutout-style imagery and neon-inspired typography reflects the postmodern aesthetic of the early 1980s, capturing the bold creativity of the era. The vibrant contrast of yellow, red, and blue highlights adds to the poster’s visual impact, making it a standout example of contemporary French graphic design. A rare and collectible piece, this original Razzia poster...
