About the Item

Original silver gelatin semi-gloss double-weight photograph that was taken by Philippe Halsman during production of Woody Allen's Broadway play Play It Again, Sam, featuring Allen and Diane Keaton. The photograph was part of the cover story for the edition of Life magazine on 21st March 1969. There is a perspex window on the reverse of the frame showing the photographer's official stamp and graphite signature. Allen would go onto make the film a couple of years later. The piece is conservation framed with UV plexiglass in a Tulip wood frame with acid free card mounts. The size given is before framing. The framed size is: 19 1/4 x 16 1/4 in. (49 x 41.2 cm) This piece would be shipped boxed by Federal Express.
